The headline’s pretty Ronseal… I’ve been quite busy this month! Alongside working on a new novel, editing an old one, there is always the general merri-go-round of submitting, pitching, applying that is a freelance writer’s life.
The best things I’ve done over the past few weeks are:
I ran two brilliant writing workshops with Retreat West and The Flash Cabin and was completely bowled over by the amazing stories the participants shared.
I came up with some ideas for more too!
I submitted to 25 places, which after sending nothing out for nearly 5 months felt like running a marathon!
I got a lovely acceptance into this year’s NFFD Flashflood, which is extra special because they published my first ever flash fiction back in 2020.
I read and loved The Colour of Bee Larkham’s Murder by Sarah J Harris.
Got extremely excited to see Adam Silvera’s newest book The First to Die at the End added to the Borrowbox app.
Seeing people share pictures of my strange little novella on their doormats….
… and convincing my local library to take a copy!
